HOME OF ULSTER, ALL IRELAND AND WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN BOTH CEILI AND SOLO DANCING.

IRELAND & NEW YORK

Scoil Rince Ní Bhrogáin proudly shares the rich tradition of Irish dance across both Ireland and New York City. Founded on a love of dance and community, our school welcomes students of all ages and levels — from beginners taking their first steps to champions competing on the world stage. Whether in Ireland or NYC, our dancers experience a supportive, family-like environment where culture and excellence thrive.

Our story

Scoil Rince Ní Bhrogáin was established in 1997, by Frances Brogan. Frances danced for the legendary O’Connor School of Irish dancing and achieved many accolades throughout her competitive career, placing in top 3 in both provincial, national and international levels.  Irish dancing has always been at the very heart of the Brogan family. Irish culture and heritage is at the very center of both the Brogan family and Scoil Rínce Ní Bhrogáin. Ríoghnach began dancing at the age of 2, and despite breaking her back and sustaining many injuries throughout her competitive career, she went on to achieve Top 5 placements in National and International major championships. She also went on to join professional shows, touring Europe, USA and China. In 2025, Ríoghnach graduated as a TCRG. Although she had been teaching extensively for years, this milestone marked the end of her competitive career and the official beginning of her journey as a recognised teacher.

We feel so fortunate to be expanding our incredible school from Ireland to New York, building a bridge between our pupils on both sides of the Atlantic.

“Sharing our passion and love for Irish dancing with the next generation is an incredible privilege — and something that means the world to us.”

Welcome to Scoil Rince Ní Bhrogáin

Scoil Rince Ní Bhrogáin was founded in 1997 by Frances Brogan, TCRG & ADCRG. Classes are taught by Frances Brogan and her daughter Ríoghnach Brogan , TCRG. Classes range from all levels, beginners right through to championship in both Ireland and the USA.

"My daughter Grace has been with SRNB since she has been 4, as were my two older girls. SRNB has been such a huge part of our lives. Grace adores her teachers Frances and Ríoghnach. We feel very lucky to be part of such an incredible school."

Suzette Mc Entee

“Scoil Rince Ní Bhrogáin is such a positive environment for my daughter Clíodhna. She never wants to miss a dance class. She has continued to thrive since she walked through the doors at age 4 and has developed an incredible love for Irish dance, which has given her life skills that will carry her through life.  "

Ursula O’Neill

"Our daughter Bonnie has been dancing with SRNB since the age of 6 & her love for the art of Irish dancing grows stronger every day.
She went from being a very quiet shy little girl, to an outgoing confident little lady who loves performing on stage! SRNB has given her a great circle of friends who are all dedicated to the sport they love so much.
We are blessed to be part of such a hugely successful school.
All thanks to the support and guidance of both her amazing teachers, Frances and Ríoghnach.

MICHAEL FLATLEY FREESTYLE CHAMPION- CONNIE NÍ CHORRÓGÁIN

The 2025 World Championships saw the first inaugural ‘Michael Flatley Freestyle Competition.’

Our insanely talented Connie took to the stage, delivering an electric performance, and was crowned the first ever An Chomhdhail Flatley Freestyle Winner. Her award was presented by Mr. Michael Flatley himself which was a huge honor.

Freestyle World Champions 2025.

On the same night another freestyle competition took place. Our team was crowned the Freestyle World Champions for the 4th consecutive year. The video above shows our fabulous team, with kids from aged 8 to 23. We are so proud of how adaptable our dancers are, learning how to be competitive performers but also show performers. Competitions like this prepare our dancers for the years to come, touring the world in shows and bringing our beautiful art form to life in a non-competitive environment.
